Birthday celebrations benefit cancer unit
My WiSH Charity welcomed Doris Ratcliffe to the Macmillan Unit recently as she presented them with £565.
Doris turned 90 in April and celebrated her birthday in style with her friends and family. Not wishing to receive gifts at her party, Doris decided to ask for donations to be given to the Macmillan Unit who had cared so well for her daughter, Rose Sandford.
Doris, from Great Waldingfield said ‘We had a lovely party and I was really surprised about how kind and generous everyone was.’
Fran Davidson, ward manager, was thrilled and said ‘This money makes such a difference. We can do so much with this donation to make a difference to our patients”.
