Chance to see the Legends – and stars of tomorrow – as Ipswich young and old combine for charity game

ITFC Legends poster 2015 FINAL-page-001The Ipswich Town Legends will be returning to Bury Town’s Ram Meadow to play against a team made of football fans who make up the Forget-Me-Not FC.

Matt Holland, Kieron Dyer and John Wark are scheduled to be among the star attractions for the Legends, who will also have two fans in their squad, while the fans team is set to be managed by Terry Butcher.

Before the 3pm kick off, Ipswich Town Under-15s will be playing their Bury Town counterparts at 12.30pm at Ram Meadow with gates opening at midday and discounted tickets for those who buy before the big game.

With two matchday experiences currently under auction, the event has already raised close to £4,000 for the ITFC Academy and the Forget-Me-Not Dementia Campaign, run by West Suffolk Hospital Charity.

Dave Gooderham, communications manager at the Charity, said: “The Legends game has become a popular event in the local football and charity calendar and we are indebted to Simon Milton and his fellow ex-pros for their continued support.

“With the line-up of Legends on show, it promises to be another great day with supporters getting the chance to have photos and autographs with all their favourites.

“With the auction of two fantastic ITFC experiences, donated by the club, and the opportunity to see the stars of tomorrow, we are hopeful that this year will be the best Legends charity event yet.”

The ITFC Legends game is now in its third year supporting the two charities with the who’s who of Ipswich Town favourites set to lace up their boots again on Sunday 17 April including Titus Bramble, Darren Currie and James Scowcroft.

An auction offering fans the chance to bid on an unforgettable Ipswich Town matchday experience and also watching Ipswich from their very own executive box will also start on Sunday evening, via the Charity’s eBay site.

Discounted ticket prices for the day are also available with savings on adult, children and family tickets available from a special Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/West-Suffolk-Hospital-Charity-Appeal1.

Tickets will also be available on the day of the big match with the gate opening at noon.
