One of the Hospital’s executive director’s, Jon Green, raised almost £1,000 at the Loch Ness Marathon.
His efforts bought four sensors for Ward F3, which alert staff when patients at risk of a fall get up from the toilet.
Ward F3 cares for a large number of elderly and frail patients who are at a higher risk of falling.
The hospital has already installed the sensors on G4, G5 and G8 using charitable funds – and have already recorded a significant impact in reducing falls.
In September, when the alarms were first fitted, there were no incidents recorded.
