Our goal is to make sure that your friends, family and neighbours enjoy the best treatment and the best possible service when they visit West Suffolk Hospital.
We are an award-winning Hospital, our patient care standards are second to none. However, our budget is not limitless and occasionally we need your support to help us to go that extra mile for you and your loved ones. We are not here to replace the NHS but to help further enhance the care and support given to patients, their families and also to the wonderful staff who care for you so well.
The Charity was entered on the Central Register of charities on the 15th September 1995. It constituted of 91 individual funds and was managed on an ad-hoc basis by our Finance department.
A part-time Fundraising Manager was employed in May 2010 to help the Trust manage its fundraising income and to work with the local community on the increasing the number of donations. The response from the community was fantastic, so much so that in November 2011 a part-time Fundraising Assistant joined the Fundraising Team for 2 days per week.
In June 2013, a full-time Fundraising Manager with three additional staff now making up the current team.
In May 2016 the decision was made to rebrand the charity launching under the new name of My WiSH Charity. This decision has seen the charity go from strength to strength thanks to our amazing community and our staff all wanting to support their local hospital.
